What households ask before they trust an app with what their family eats.
Is Kerah free?
Kerah is free to download and free to use for one person — scanning, safety rules, food log and a grocery list. The Family plan opens it to the whole household: every profile, shared lists, lunchbox planning, elder care and pet reminders.
Is the food scanner halal-aware?
Yes. Scan a product and Kerah checks halal status, allergens and questionable additives, and names which household member each finding affects and why. When it cannot read an ingredient clearly it warns instead of clearing the product — always read the label.
Can each family member have different allergies?
Yes. Every profile carries its own allergies and dietary rules, and a single scan is checked against all of them at once, so you see who is affected rather than one combined verdict.
What happens when Kerah cannot identify an ingredient?
It warns rather than clearing the product. The scanner is deliberately fail-closed: an unresolved ingredient never produces a "safe" result.
Does it support Ramadan and fasting?
Yes. Fasting is set per person. Meal timing, reminders and hydration guidance move to the eating window during Ramadan, while household members who are not fasting keep their normal plan.
Is my family’s data safe?
Privacy comes first. Children are managed by a parent or guardian and never have their own account, health-related data is optional and visible only to the people you authorise, and you can delete your data from inside the app at any time.
Can I manage my whole family in one place?
That is the point. One household covers adults, children, elders and pets, each with their own profile, dietary needs and care. Children’s lunchboxes follow school rules; elder care includes check-ins and medication reminders.
How do I cancel or delete my account?
Manage or cancel a subscription any time in your App Store or Google Play account. You can delete your account and personal data directly in the app, under Profile → Delete Account.
Which devices are supported?
Kerah runs on iPhone (iOS) and Android, and your household stays in sync across every member’s device.
Which languages does Kerah support?
Kerah is built Arabic-first with full right-to-left layout, and supports 23 languages including English, Arabic, French, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog and Malay.
